La Distillerie Grand Dérangement has a taste for "disturbing". In 2016, its owners created the company to stand out in the spirits market by making a grain-to-bottle spirit that respects sustainable development. The first organic distillery in the Lanaudière region, the majority of the organic grain used to produce the alcohol for its spirits grows less than 10 kilometers from the distillery. During your visit, you'll discover the history behind the name Grand Dérangement: from the great deportation of the Acadians in 1755 to their arrival on Quebec soil, particularly in Nouvelle-Acadie and Saint-Jacques. Not only will you learn about the manufacturing process, but you'll also be able to taste certified organic fine spirits, and meet artisans who are driven by conviction and willing to think outside the box. Whether you're a gin or a vodka drinker, you'll be won over.
