About

Prairie Gardens is the only Blue Pumpkin farm north of the 56th Parallel in the world! In addition to growing over 25 acres of pumpkins and summer vegetables, they offer a spring garden centre, unique Christmas parties, long table farm dinners, a strawberry U-pick, garlic garden, and golden fields of canola on a family farm located near Edmonton. Don’t settle for sampling Alberta’s food at restaurants: immerse yourself in Alberta’s cuisine on a back-to-the-land cooking class experience. Enjoy a hands-on lesson to create a traditional Alberta meal using farm-fresh ingredients. Enjoy a farm tour, and once your dishes are cooked in the stone-brick oven, savour dinner with drinks as the sun sets over the fields. If you are looking for an evening adventure be sure to visit Prairie Gardens on Wednesday and Friday and enjoy their wood-fired pizza. Choose between a farm Canola or Sunflower tour and then set out on your own to solve a mini Corn Maze, learn about the history of Canola production in the area. Head out to the sunflower patch or canola fields at the farm and take some time to pose for pics in the middle of a field of gold (Canola blooms in July, Sunflowers bloom in September).

About Alberta

Welcome to Alberta, where the bold, the adventurous and the free-spirited come to play.

Alberta is home to North America’s largest mountain range. It’s where dinosaurs once roamed and where dense forests make way to open prairies. You can swim in jewel-coloured lakes, walk across glaciers and climb frozen waterfalls. If you have a Wild Side, you’ll feel right at home here.
