Less than 30 minutes up the road from Vernon, you can find the hidden culinary gem of Silver Star Mountain. This quaint community tucked away in the Monashee Mountain Range at 1,600m (5,200 ft) above sea level, is an active town with a passion for good food and drink.

The mountain restaurants feature a taste of the Okanagan, showcasing the bounty of local fresh produce, orchards and wineries. From five-star dining to mouth-watering pub food, decadent cocktails to indulgent pastries and long-time local owners who will make you feel at home, you will be spoilt for choice across the resort’s 13 eateries.

Experience a trendy urban cocktail lounge with a ski town twist at Black Pine Social. The eclectic menu features dishes from all the great alpine regions of the world, from the Alps to Tokyo, with three different types of ramen, tasting plates, handheld, salads and an assortment of delicious main dishes.

Open year-round, the Red Antler is the heart of Silver Star’s casual dining. Delicious and welcoming, enjoy elevated Canadian pub fare in a contemporary atmosphere. From salads to burgers, tacos to red thai curry, and with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, there really is something for everyone.

At The Bulldog Grand Café, a sibling to the famous Amsterdam establishment, experience European vibes coupled with Indonesian cuisine. Pick up a menu and you’ll find unique flavour combinations influenced by Dutch history in Indonesia.

Treat your sweet tooth at Bugaboos’s Bakery Café – a coffee and pastry lover’s fantasy, boasting bread, buns and brewed beans to die for. Pro-tip: must try are the cinnamon buns, cream puffs, croissant sandwiches.

Good things take time – and Pizza Gratta’s fermented sourdough, which is naturally low to no gluten, is a case study for patient craftsmanship. Comfort foods made from scratch – locally sourced, and organic whenever possible, you’ll find meat, vegetarian and plant-based options.

Visiting us during the Winter Season? Be sure to check out these restaurants only open during Winter.

The resort’s newest restaurant, D’Argentoopened in Winter 2022, offers upscale Italian fare in a cosy mountain setting. Featuring fresh hand-made pasta, thoughtfully curated traditional dishes, and a distinctly Mediterranean cocktail menu. Be sure to finish the meal with a decadent tiramisu!

Venture to the backside of the mountain and you will find, Paradise Camp, the mountain’s on-piste, fully licensed restaurant. Accessible only by skiing or snowboarding, warm-up by a real log fire and enjoy breakfast, lunch, baked goodies and delicious hot beverages.

Enter as a guest, leave as a local at Long’s John Pub. Long John’s Pub is a local haunt for drinks, dinner and good times. Their twist on the classic lasagne dish is a must-try!
