About
The Old Red Barn, founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Matthew and Melissa, is a unique farm-based culinary destination rooted in a passion for local food, agriculture and community connection. Located on Melissa’s family dairy farm, the restored 1950s barn offers a warm, rustic setting with original wood beams, handmade tables and sweeping views of Whitemud Creek, where guests can watch cows and horses graze as the sun sets.
At the heart of the experience are their signature Farm to Flame dinners, immersive, multi-course meals cooked over hardwood, coals and a wood-fired oven using Argentine-inspired techniques. Each evening features seasonal menus crafted by talented local chefs using farm-fresh ingredients, with opportunities for guests to meet the farmers behind the food and hear their stories. Designed to be slow, social and sensory-driven, these gatherings invite guests to connect over shared tables, savour bold flavours and enjoy an unforgettable taste of the region.
