About Kelowna
Welcome to Kelowna. Urban and rural; nature and culture; playtime and downtime: Kelowna isn’t just one destination. It’s a whole bunch of them, located in one uniquely beautiful place.
Located on the shores of Okanagan Lake, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the syilx/Okanagan people, Kelowna is surrounded by pristine lakes, pine forests, abundant gardens, orchards, and vineyards. The Okanagan Valley’s semi-arid climate boasts long warm summers and short mild winters creating exceptional growing conditions for fruits, vegetables, and of course, grapes. Immerse yourself in the freshest flavours in Kelowna by plucking ripe cherries or juicy peaches from trees, spending a day touring our internationally acclaimed wineries, or treating yourself to a memorable meal at our farm-to-table restaurants.
