Step inside a century-old beehive kiln at Medalta in the Historic Clay District, Canada's largest historic site. Dinner in the Kiln: Farm to Fork celebrates the flavours of Southern Alberta with every course featuring locally sourced ingredients, all crafted by some of Medicine Hat’s finest chefs.
The Beehive Kilns were used in the early 1900s to fire pottery at volcanic temperatures for 7-8 days, and then the pottery sat to cool for 1-2. The Historic Clay District produced 1/3 of all clay being distributed in Canada. This is your chance to taste the creativity, skill, and passion of our region’s culinary scene, all in one extraordinary setting.
